I mean it's well known Dana dislikes GSP a ton. But GSP has been fighting for quite a while at this point, and made a lot of money. Nothing strange about him choosing to retire now.

I hate UFC management and especially Dana White but if GSP had wanted to fight regularly he could have. They gave him the MW title then he took his ball and went home and that killed his chances of further fights.

He is up there in age and had a fairly long career fighting many of the best fighters at 170 time after time with very little breaks.

Not too mention he made a lot of money from fighting and sponsors. Just not really much left for him to prove.
