What's up haters? How can GSP be considered the "LNP King" when he owns the #1 spot
for most strikes landed with the FEWEST FIGHTS?

Max Holloway (23 fights ) needs to land over 800 strikes in 5 fights just to match him.

It's not a good thing to have the most strikes ever.

It just means that your fights are lasting all 3 or 5 rounds.

In other words, you're not able finish your opponents.

Because his fights went the full 25 minutes. It's easy to land meaningless strikes from guard for 25 minutes. Ngannou has landed hardly any strikes in comparison. Because he kills guys with 1 punch. I guess he is boring.

I don't think anyone really denied GSP was good at taking people down and punching them from top.

That's not to crap on his standing striking at all (it's quite solid), but I bet the majority of those were TD-Pass-Punch situations...which is perfectly fine.

Moreover, because he usually fought in title fights, he had more minutes to work with in the first place.

GSP has been noted to just "lay" on his opponents. Even when he's in guard, or in mount position he's doing damage.
