All part of the ufc hype job marketing. None of them were really the best although they were constantly touted as the best.

Cain and Barao hype?? LOL, what? Those guys were legitimately the best in their weight class for several years. Barao just ran into better fighters when BW evolved around 2015/2016. Cain has lost to 3 guys his entire career, two of which were quick KO's.

Barao was great and had good wins, drug testing fucked him over
Brock isn’t GOAT but has some nice wins made even better considering his lack of experience and training time
Ronda has nice wins including the two women that beat Nunes aswell as Tate who finished Holm

Cain depends though with hindsight you could poke some holes in his HW resume.

Cain is a great heavyweight who trains too hard and is injury prone.
Barao was a good/great fighter who got passed up by the division. See also Ronda.
Brock was never touted as the best, just a monster of a man with a legitimate wrestling (not "pro") background who had chips fall his way so he got to be champion. And when they fell the other way he lost it.
GSP, you're crazy. Extremely tactical, but decisions make boring fights so he takes a lot of hate. Kinda like when DJ was decisioning the division.
