Prelims this weekend on espn2?

Already getting demoted to the 2nd tier channels...college basketball is probably getting the main slot.

@FrankieNYC any news on this? was this always the plan? Id prefer the whole card on espn+ honestly just for the pacing.

EDIT: with the bellator card, you can also watch mma all day on saturday!

It was always that way
They have to juggle to make all their content providers happy

For a card like this & the prelims for a ESPN+ card, it makes sense
No name fighters & 11am EST

They will be doing the split programming to sell ESPN+, I agree its better to have it all on one channel, but money talks

I dont remember hearing anything about the espn+ cards prelims on espn2 but there was also not a whole lot of detail made available to the fans.

Its not the worst thing, espn 2 is still a big channel. I was just surprised it wasnt all on espn+ like the last card was. and apperantly the next card...kinda weird.

As usual I'll stay tuned to SD for the results. Tried ESPN+ once for a week and nothing I could do to get it to work. However, the free Bellator card was a perfect stream.

Thanks frankie. I swear it said espn+ on mmajunkie a few days ago so maybe they are still trying to figure out what parts of cards go where.

The card is called an ESPN+ card
Like a PPV is called a PPV
They go by the main card
Maybe that is what you saw or they had it wrong

What do you mean by demoted? Espn2 is a higher tier channel than ESPN+
