Stipe had the right game plan: stick and move, look for openings to TD, wear him down. Cain seemed to have the same game plan as in the last 2 JDS fights: attack right away, pressure, press against the fence. Interesting that the way to beat Ngannou has been proven yet Cain still stuck to his old style. Over confidence? Arrogance?

Stipe made a point of just avoiding the monster's offense until he slowed down. Cain decided to go right at him. If Cain hadn't been the aggressor I don't think Francis would've foolishly wasted his gas tank trying to force a KO like he did in the Miocic fight.

That's the way that Cain always fights. Cain's a pressure fighter and he wasn't about to change his stripes last night against a fighter who's conditioning was in question after the Stipe fight.

Cain is a very hard worker, but he does not have a very high IQ. (Accepting this fight wasn't very smart, either.)

Cain has that ‘never give up attitude’ that makes him persist foolishly sometimes

Cain only knows how to fight one way, which is why he's never been in a boring fight. He also assumed that since Stipe managed to ground Francis with some pretty basic takedowns, he'd have no problem doing the same thing and the thing is, he may still be right.

Cain is done. Looked frail, old and rusty. Fought a younger, hungrier monster as well. I knew he would get bodied eventually but hell ... it wasnt even a fight.
