It looks like some kind of 1980s Tron futuristic piece of oddly shape octagon crap.
 
Yeah, I'm inclined to agree. This belt is weak sauce.
 
TJ threw the fight so he didn’t have to wear that garbage.
 
Yeah, the new belt is gross. I really hate it. They now have the worst belt in combat sports.
 
The old UFC belts kinda reminded me of The Big Gold Belt.

Just me?

Nevermind that sh1t. Cocky Dillashaw lost. Lets rejoice.
 
Probably costs a tenth of what the old belt did. WME's business genius (by being cheap and getting rid of things) strikes again!

New belt looks great
Its all sleek and futurey and much more detailed than the old belt
Plus it will be personalized for every champion which gives them more opportunities for merch sales
Gotta love new revenue streams!
 
Think my grandma used to have white paper picnic plates like that.

Costs 3 times as much
That belt is way more difficult to make with all its separate pieces than the old ones which were a simple cast plate
