At least with Conor and GSP it made sense because they were massive stars who actually brought big fanbases and more attention to the divisions in general.

But now it feels like every single division champ is trying to become a double champ.

Good thing we got Champions like Tyron Woodley, staying in his lane, and getting ready to defend his Title for the 5th TIME! And is only considering going up after he demolishes Colby for his SIXTH DEFENSE!

Woodley Bless.

Honorable mentions being Max Holloway and Robert Whittaker, who are looking to defend their Championships for the 2nd and 3rd time this year.

lol yeah Woodley is the only guy not getting super fights because Dana hates him

the wonderboy draw is not a defense

The UFC's business sense recently has been pushing short term hype at the expense of long term legitimacy. The know that Double Champs sell a title fight and 'build a star' but I don't think they realized how pointless their divisions would become as a result.

He's still setting the example being the Champion whose fought the top contender consistently, I'm 99.999% Positive when he starches Usman and Covington, Dana Salt will open up to him moving up.

Nobody believes what you wrote so it’s a troll fail.

Champ vs Champ and the Champ-Champ is just a way to sell more PPV... Personally I would rather see the #1 contender get the fight and the division not held up for another 6 months...

So Woodley isn't getting ready to defend his Championship for the 5th time?

Max Holloway isn't looking to defend his Championship this year?

Robert Whittaker isn't getting ready for his second title defense at UFC 234?

These Champions aren't setting the example?

<TheWire1>

Lol whether you like it or not, the reason I mentioned Woodley first, is because he has the MOST TITLE DEFENSES of any Champion CURRENTLY.

You sir, can take that bait somewhere else

This is why i say 5 weight class

Lets make UFC great again

150
175
200
225
275

5 strong, shark motherfuckin tank divisions boiiii

What is it then?
He retained the title but it was not a successful defense. You defend by winning.

Surely you don't think you should count a draw as being the same as a win.

Especially when line cutting is allowed!

I wanna pound the sh*t out of people who have preferred passes at amusement parks.

Even if you want to be super technical, it doesn't take away from the fact that he has the most defenses, and has stayed in his lane beating contender after contender. People might not like Woodley, but you gotta respect what he's doing, he's only talked about going up after what will be his 6th defense after beating Covington.

What more can Tyron do as a Champion to get the respect from you Sherbros that hate the "Champ Champ" Era? Smh.

To be fair, DC/Stipe, Nunes/Cyborg, and Shevchenko/Joanna (if it counts) were the best fights possible in those divisions

TJ/Cejudo on the other hand...

Draws are absolutely title defenses, and always have been (in boxing).

Fighter A walks into the cage with the belt. Fighter A walks out of the cage with the belt.

That's a defense.

conor doing it was the worse thing.

at least all other champs champs have defended unlike conor.

so your mad that nunes won but if cris won you wouldnt of cared right.

ufc is using tj to kill 125 so that one on the ufc not tj.

Nick Diaz, Nate Diaz, Conor McGregor, and GSP to name a few.

Woodley only stays in his lane because Dana doesn't let him drive into a new one.

woodley cant help if they wont sign to fight woodley.

again there all ducking woodley
