The pair have been reunited again (since the Expendables 3) on Creed 2

Kudos to making the third best Rocky movie evah! Rocky IV

Here's an interesting fact: Rocky IV is still the highest grossing boxing movie ever made.

I hope they don't F up Creed 2. I am looking forward to seeing those characters on screen again.

I'm just curious how they play it. If they are really going for Son of Creed vs. Son of Drago type shennanigans (which let's face it, sounds ultra-silly as a plot but could be potentially well done in the right hands), then I'm just wondering what they will make the son like and if they will portray Drago as the same unflinching, unfeeling, stoic dude that they did the first time out.

My hope would be they establish young Drago as, in contrast to his father, a wild, wealthy, cocky p.o.s. who goes around flaunting his wealth, carrying on with a lot of women, etc. but who happens to also be a phenomenally skilled and strong boxer like his old man. I think it would be an interesting juxtaposition- have the stoic father, a Russian legend being embarrassed by the extravagances of his son and yet also wanting him to achieve glory in the ring.

I like your mode of thinking. That angle would add some depth to the story. Anything is possible though. Doing son of Apollo vs. son of Drago is a risky plot choice because it will be extremely easy to screw up. On the other hand, if they pull it off right, it will draw the nostalgia crowd and probably be a big hit.

My fav Rocky flick for sure

Such a cartoon compared to the first two. The first was such a great film, a real piece of art that gave us a moral victory in spite of falling short but the characters growth was what mattered. The sequel went a bit more Hollywood and gave us the storybook ending when it was unrealistic, but it worked and didn't take away from the perfection of the first film. Then they went balls to the wall with the Hollywood bullshit, threw out character progression, made Rocky a two dimensional comic book character, and gave us one of the corniest stories ever put on screen with the fourth movie, and it was just as fucking amazing as the first, only at the other end of the spectrum in absolute cheese. It's really impressive in an odd way.

It's certainly not the best Rocky movie, but it's by far my favorite.

Best Rocky movie ever hands down.

So one thing I've never gotten over. Between the end of Rocky 4 and beginning of Rocky 5, a matter of minutes/hours has passed...Adrian went from attractive to old and ugly within a matter of hours.

It moves at one of the quickest paces I can think of of any movie ever. Intro scene, Rocky at home, Apollo visiting Rocky, Pre-fight presser, Drago vs. Creed, Pre-fight presser, "Youuu can't win," There's no easy wayyy outttt," Training montage, Adiran's back, training montage, Rocky vs. Drago, Rocky ends the Cold War

bam, bam, bam, bam

Rapid fire. Certainly hugely entertaining even if it is over the top and silly. Best sports training montages in a movie that I can think of.

Rocky V is the only turd in the series. It sucks and is best forgotten. I did like the shady promoter dude though- "C'mon punk. Touch me and I'll sue."

I had a friend growing up who would argue that Rocky V was the best in the series because it had a street fight. Talk about missing the point. Reminds me of this girlfriend my brother had in college who asserted that she liked Mac and Me better than E.T.

GOAT Rocky movie! As far as I'm concerned it changed my life, because it was just that damn awesome. I can still remember the first time I ever saw it and how utterly blown away I was by it. I've never ever gotten that from another movie ever, at least not to that extent.

Stallone and Robert Loggia used to tag team chicks during the filming of Over the Top.
