if burns accepts the takedown, i'm down

Would highly recommend looking Burns up. He's a fun fighter and has a good little win streak going. Just beat Gunnar Nelson.
No idea how i missed that. Was it on espn+ at some non US prime time hour?

I'd much prefer to see that over Maia/Sanchez.

dont know who he is, voted maia

It would be a great fight, I was surprised how he dominated Nelson with ease, a Maia fight would be great

Jesus, 73% picking Maia? Recency bias is crazy on Sherdog... Burns outclasses Maia in a bloody decision imo.

I know Burns cuts a lot of weight - how do you think he measures up to Maia? I ask because if they are more or leas equally matched on the ground, size might make a difference for whomsoever is the bigger fighter.

THIS is a current dream fight for me. I'm a big fan of both...I think Burns would have the overall advantage, though. He's not drained at 170, fighting awesome, younger, much better stand up then Maia, and I think Burns survives on the ground against Maia...but, let's find out! Man, this has to happen. I want this match up MUCH more then Sanchez.

This is very very possible. I'm a huge Maia fan, but Burns has A LOT going for him in this match up. Gilbert basically has an advantage on Maia, everywhere, except BJJ...but I think Burns has more then enough BJJ skills to survive the ground. Fuck, it would be so fun to see this one hit the mat.

So that somehow means i should watch shitty watered down prelims?

LMAO, so true. I never watch prelims. When these so potentially "good" prospects Sherdog gush over make it to the main card then thats when I will probably watch them.

I also never watch a complete main card, most of the times it's 2 or 3 fights. 4 when the card is really good but thats hardly never.

Burns is so strong, not sure it would touch the ground. I could see him finishing Maia which is typically hard to imagine
