The NRA has just been taking hits all year. I don't see how they get it together for 2020

It appears as though some of the board members had been removed from duties with no explanation.

Arent there like 60 people on that board

Good. The NRA is Crooked and corrupt and destroying this nation. Too bad they will get just replaced by worse scum.

Other important news - I quit posting on ADCC forums about 12 years ago.

Still can't fathom why Oliver North was chosen. Like no one could see that going badly.

Unfortunately, the NRA leadership is run like the GOP establishment.

i thought they broke up a long time ago. like before easy e died

Olie North got canned due to his integrity. He became aware of the misspending and tried to fix it. He had no idea how bad the corruption was and he got tossed for being a honest person.

Do you work for him or something? I'm a member and that's not at all what I've heard.

He left cause LaPierre is a fucking can shitbucket.

Not what you heard from the NRA....

Let's just ignore the fact that Colion Noir no longer is talking about them and NRA TV got stopped and how all the main YouTube gun people from Hickock to MAC to IV8888 to T Rex Arms have stopped talking about the NRA OR have begun talking shit about them constantly.

I'll take their word over that of LaPierre.

LaPierre is a crook, that much should be apparent. The NRA has had problems for a while and is in a crisis of sorts. He’s gotta go in order to solve that crisis.

like rats on a sinking ship. The organization is more toxic than a Chernobyl urinal cake

What I don't get is how do you get paid 1.2 million a year and need more?

It’s never enough for the executive class, I guess? I don’t know. With a lot of folks, my values and interests are so disparate that I feel amongst aliens. Despite enjoying guns very much, I doubt I could stand LaPierre’s creepy face more than a few minutes.

Edit: I think his total compensation is much higher than that.

It is much higher that is just his base pay.

I support the existence of the NRA and, at least.. the ‘spirit’ of what they are trying to do.

But they’re run poorly imo and are terrible at how they go about presenting themselves more often than not. They are very ‘hokey’ if that makes sense, or is even spelled right lol

‘Corny’ may be a better word for what I’m trying to say, I dunno

I mentioned a few years back that he's one of the most highly compensated non-profit ceos, despite the nra being an order of magnitude smaller than much bigger non-profits (which spend a smaller proportion on lobbying). It looks like he's had a 25% raise since then.

Incidentally, Wayne LaPierre makes 970,000 a year running a nonprofit with a 250,000,000 dollar budget. Or twice as much for an organization an eighth as big (planned Parenthood).

Organizations closer to the size of planned parenthood include the Smithsonian Institute (700,000 for their chief executive), Boy Scouts (was 500,000 but the current director is Robert Gates and he is doing it for free), and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute (1.1 million).

As a gun owner I have always liked the NRA, but I just don't think they're being run well.
