what are your 3 favorite mma moments. Plain and simple, as a fan what are the 3 biggest moments you saw happening live that have stuck with you the most.

For me:
1. GSP stopping Hughes to win the title. Iirc this happened around the same time Rampage knocked out Chuck (another favorite moment of mine) and represented a huge sea change in mma. The old company man champions (franklin, Liddell, Hughes) were being pushed out and we were beginning to see new exciting talent rise to the top. This was also around the same time Pride guys were beginning to come over. One of the best times, in my opinion, to an mma fan.

2. Diaz vs Daley
Not really sure why but this fight will always really stick out for me. Perfect 1 round fight. So exciting. Nick was an underdog, like he always was, and beat Daley on the feet, something no one expected him to be able to do. Such an exciting stoppage. This was shortly after zuffa bought strikeforce, seeing Dana go crazy in the front row was surreal. This fight opened up a lot of possibilities and made the strikeforce merger even more exciting than it already was.

3. I’m having a hard time picking a third moment. But I’m gonna go with Diaz vs Mgregor 2. Based mostly on the quality of the fight itself. Reminded me of a great boxing match with the back and forth over 5 rounds. One of my favorite fights of all time.

Honorable mentions- Vitor vs Anderson, such an exciting buildup and what a finish. The GSP vs Bisping finish was also a moment that had me jumping into the air in pure excitement. Such a great moment and such a great finish by GSP.

Boxing- PAC vs Marquez 4, seeing Marquez, who in 36 rounds had never even hurt pacquaio, plant the guy face first into the canvas when he himself seemed close to going out, was and still is the most shocking holy shit moment I’ve ever seen in any combat sport. The only time I can remember literally yelling out holy fking shit at my tv screen.

K1- ummmmm. I guess seeing ubereem Uber his way through that GP was pretty cool. He had that dope docu series at the time that was perfect for the moment.

Alright I’d like to hear yours. First three things that come to mind.

1. Anderson silva crushing Rich Frankilin (the ace got me into MMA after i purchased UFC 58 DVD from blockbuster)

2. Werdum tapping Fedor (at the time this was absolutely huge despite all the hate bashing fedor threads nowadays)

3. Dominick Cruz outpointing TJ. i am in the camp that had dominick win three rounds to two in a very close fight. it was a grand story of a guy who's injuries took most of his prime and he came back against an absolute killer and edged him out to get back the belt he never lost and showcased why he was the definitive Bantamweight GOAT

GSP winning the title for the First Time.

GSP winning in a second division Vs Bisping

Silva losing because he was clowning Vs Weidman

gsp kicking hughes head off, silva breaking his leg, conors 13 second display vs aldo

1. Machida KOing Rashad to win the title undefeated

2. GSP KOing Hughes to win the title

3. Showtime arm barring Bendo to win the title

1: Ronda getting KTFO by Holly

2: Ronda getting KTFO by Nunes

3: Don't really care

Randy Couture running a clinic on Tim Sylvia(that first punch that dropped him received maybe the loudest pop in MMA history) then watching him break a much younger Gonzaga, who just destroyed Cro Cop, like he was a small child

Anderson Silva destroying Forrest

BJ crushing Matt Hughes. These were two of my favorite fighters at the time.

Dan Henderson KOing Wandy for the pride LHW title.

Hughes/Trigg 2

Randy beating Pedro Rizzo

Nick Diaz submitting Gomi

Shogun winning the Grand Prix

Sakurabas entire career

GSP vs Fitch. Fitch much like Alves was never the same after their st Pierre fights. Fitch should've been dead but he continued to a decision. Remarkable toughness shown by fitch

1. Fedor - Mirko Crocop... The biggest and baddest Heavyweights at the time.

2. Tito - Ken Shamrock I ... Awesome beatdown... Turned the UFC around.

3. Forrest - Bonnar I ... Put the UFC on the map for casuals... The reason we still get to watch today.

1-

More Heart than everything i watched in UFC combined.

Conor starching Aldo in 13 seconds
Frankie finishing Maynard
Silva/Sonnen rivalry

GSP finishing Hughes and bursting into tears is definitely the best and most iconic moment for me. Anyone have a complete GIF of that?

1. Teli Telua's tooth flying through the air- I couldn't believe what I was watching.

2. The way Fedor beat Nogueira in their first fight- that wasn't supposed to happen like that.

3. GSP coming out of retirement and finishing Bisping- eat a dick haters.

Man.. Good post Ts, too many to choose from but in no particular order

Lesnar Carwin
Bisping Silva
Stipe Ngannou
For varying reasons

honourable mentions mcgregor diaz 1 Rousey Holme Fedor Werdum

There wasn't a single moment in MMA history that made me happier than seeing Ronda's fat ass getting humiliated and flatlined.
