(CNN)A gunman killed three people during shootings that ended at a lawn care company in Kansas on Thursday, authorities said.

An additional 14 people were injured -- 10 of whom are in critical condition at local hospitals.

Authorities first got calls about a man shooting from a vehicle in Newton about 5 p.m., the Harvey County Sheriff's Office said.

The shooter is killed. The authorities don't believe it's an act of terrorism but rather something that "triggered" the shooter.

Depressing either way :(

According to the record and other government records, he was arrested for violating probation stemming from burglary and grand theft charges. He pleaded no contest in the cases, the records say.

Ford also had arrests dating back to 1996 in Miami-Dade County, including burglary, concealed firearms and battery charges. The disposition of those cases was not clear.

If this was a POC, the media would be labeling this a terrorist attack, but instead, they're saying its a mental health issue. This racist country makes me sick.

Wait, what?... Oh. Still racist.

This didn't happen, everyone knows only white males shoot up their workplaces. Unless they're Muslims then they can be arabs, but only if they do it for their religion.

RIP to the victims and I wish the surviving victims a speedy recovery. I'm glad that coward gunman died; if only he didn't take down any victims with him.

Another completely avoidable instance of white terror. How many more of these shootings before these batshit crazy fucks get their guns taken away. Unbelievable that we are the only major country in the world that has to put up with this...

Muslim = terrorist attack
Non Muslim = rampage, mental health issue, shooting spree...

Got it. Thanks

He was under protective custody and somehow escaped and started shooting everyone

I can't tell if sarcastic or not. Considering he was black

Too much stupid on Sherdog to leave a decent reply.

Didn't realize that... Perhaps I was a bit hasty. This actually changes the entire paradigm of the situation.

It's very possible that this man was a victim of workplace racism and perhaps even bullying. No doubt, the incessant bigotry caused severe psychological damage and spurred him to commit these unfortunate acts.

With this new information brought to light, it's important that we examine this situation in the context of relative privilege before jumping to any conclusions.

Out of curiosity have any the major/recent Muslim shooters/attacks not been linked to terror organizations or not do it in the name of Allāh?

Most of the non-Muslim attackers have personal or rampage style mentalities(mental health and on prescription drugs). They aren't doing it in the name of a religion or a mass ideology.

@TheBlondBomber

POC? Person of color?

Wasn't like he was a violent felon prior to the shooting as shown in his records from several states.

I'll wager that the workplace has a no firearms allowed policy. If I was shot or even in the building, I'd sue the employer for not providing a safe workplace.
