Garbrandt, McGregor and Stipe are UFC BW/FW/LW/HW champs.

Is Boxing the best new base for MMA?

KTFO Freddie Roach trained boxer.

Khabib would kill the McChiken.

Cody beat an overrated Dominick.

6 years ago it was about K1 level striking. Now it's about WBC level striking

lol Cody and Stipe are wrestlers too smh don't forget that......

This is mma they need everything

So they just know boxing? Wow they is pretty good in MMA for not training anything besides boxing........

Bro, Stipe and CoGar started out as wrestlers bro.

Boxing and good wrestling is the absolute best base.
Chuck Liddell showed that years ago and his boxing sucked.
If you have good TDD and great hands, your gonna do great in mma.

If these guys defend the TD they have a huge advantage on the feet because of their knowledge in boxing. You can see their advantage in footwork, and control of distance against their opponents. Much like Silva was in his prime with his Muay Thai.

The golden age of wrestlebox has begun...all hail the golden gloved all American gods!

People shit talk boxing but it's arguably the most important art in MMA. If a pro MMA fighter has high level boxing they usually reach a pretty high or elite level. BJ Penn, Anderson, Conor, Diaz's, Stipe, JDS, etc., and some of them aren't really that high level boxers, just pretty competent.
Fact remains most KO's in MMA are due to punches. Many times high profile MMA fights become boxing matches with a few other strikes and clinches sprinkled in

It wasn't long ago when the best base to have was Muay Thai + jiu jitsu.

Would still argue that wrestling is the most important. You can be like Golovkin on the feet, but if you have bad TDD, it won't matter.

Boxing is probably your best tool in a street fight too.

Forget Karate, TWD, Aikido and all that shite.

IF you know how to punch and get in a good initital flurry you should win almost all fights.
