2nd strongest American wants to fight in the UFC

it functioned for 1 minute before he gassed out. He can't ever be elite because he trained for moving heavy objects. he built mass to do that; it obviously did not transfer that well to mma. if having that much strength really helped, he'd be in the UFC now instead of losing to journeyman. if you think winning a few fights against bums because of his freakish strenghth is success, you have bizarre standards of success.

You still don't get it. MMA isn't the test if muscle mass is functional nor some ultimate test of athleticism. It was obviously functional enough for him to compete as an athlete for many years and probably earning a lot more money than the average MMA fighter. Shocking, he didn't succeed at the highest level of a fringe sport that he started at 32 years old after years of wear and tear.

The guys that are comparing a strongman who deadlifts 800lbs for reps, benches 600lbs, and weighs 400lbs of muscle to some fat guys like Zuluzinho, and Yarborough, and a freakshow giant like Hong Man Choi are completely retarded. You want to compare a athletic, muscular, powerhouse strongman who has the grip strength to crush regular HWs wrist, with huge heads that you'll probably break your hand punching to a couple of obese dudes, and a giant freak show fighter? Do you know how hard it would be to take this guy down considering how ridiculously strong he is? Do you know how hard it would be to submit some of these strongman with their strength,, muscle mass, bone structure, and tendon strength? I'm not saying this guy would even be successful in mma but these comparisons are completely retarded.

Except without their PEDs they'll just end up looking like another Zuluzinho or Yarborough and with 400lbs of muscle, unless they get a KO in the first 30 seonds, they'll likely gas out.

I'd be happy to see the 265 weight limit removed until there is enough decent talent to form a Super HW division

Shit, if Bob Sapp could slay Hoost, who's to say this guy can't kill someone like Cain, 1 punch KO

Speed/Explosiveness, movement, cardio & skill/game-plan > muscle

Bob Sapp is the exception. He had speed, explosiveness and muscle, Because he had 6% body fat or something like that. He just lacked the technique and cardio.
