it functioned for 1 minute before he gassed out. He can't ever be elite because he trained for moving heavy objects. he built mass to do that; it obviously did not transfer that well to mma. if having that much strength really helped, he'd be in the UFC now instead of losing to journeyman. if you think winning a few fights against bums because of his freakish strenghth is success, you have bizarre standards of success.
You still don't get it. MMA isn't the test if muscle mass is functional nor some ultimate test of athleticism. It was obviously functional enough for him to compete as an athlete for many years and probably earning a lot more money than the average MMA fighter. Shocking, he didn't succeed at the highest level of a fringe sport that he started at 32 years old after years of wear and tear.
