What you say - Phil or Rashad?
 
Phil Davis makes the most sense since Evans has an upcoming fight.

We would get to see how DC does against a solid wrestler, if he dominates Davis that would just make the fight with Jones that much more interesting.
 
I'd like to see him take out Davis, dont care to see Davis fight for the title.
 
Honestly I'm surprised no one's saying he should fight Rashad if Rashad wins as to me that's the matchup that makes the most sense rather then getting elevated to the same status as Gus or Davis without a single fight in the division.
 
If he gets paired against anyone, I'm hoping for Rogerio. I think it would be a fun matchup.
 
What I was saying. I actually rather see him against Rashad if Rashad beats Chael, but Phil needs an opponent soon.
 
Would love to see Rashad fight him, I believe Rashad will have no problems with Chael so I hope this fight gets made. Either way both are great match ups though.
 
Davis is an overlooked threat to Gus, so his fans want someone to remove him from contention.
 
I think they keep Davis, DC, Gus, Glover safe for the favs to keep the LHW division deep. Cormier should test the waters first since he doesn't want to go over them quite yet. :icon_lol:

Perhaps, but many thought he wouldn't be a threat to JJ and look what happened. Gus made some clear strides in his game, Davis gets easily KO'd if he doesnt get Gus down.

It could also be just that Gus is a a better match for Jones. I'm not ready to call him a world beater until he runs a gauntlet.

I think Rogerio is at his best against strikers, so I'd rather see him paired up with someone who will stand on the outside and having a (kick)boxing match with him or even someone we could see an exciting ground fight with. I'm not terribly interested in seeing him get clinched to death against Cormier. I want to see Cormier against a top wrestler. I agree with the people who want to see him against Davis or Rashad.
 
I think Davis is a solid matchup. Might be a boring fight though.
 
I think either guy is great - Nog would be fun if Cormier would box but I don't think he would. I think he would stay clear of the BJJ and heavy strikes turning it into a ton of ground control
 
guys like davis, nog, and bader seem likely. maybe even shogun if he wins

dont think they even want to test cormier vs someone like rashad. they want cormier to not only win but look good doing it. cormier will not fight gus either

cormier, glover and gus has made the LHW division exciting again. jones was just crushing guys. we basically had rematches on our hands. machida had a bunch of boring fights and davis was putting on yawnworthy performances. great to see some new blood and some title contenders
 
Davis vs Cormier is the perfect title eliminator fight. And Gus can get the shot after that.
