These are really good...even better than the Mayweather/ODLH ones. Anyone know how many episodes they will air? Just saw part 2, hopefully there's more to come.

Oscar by KO

Yes. I get all hyped up too by that stuff. I also like that there is not much trash talking either.

I think there's one more show next Sunday. Then the following Saturday is the fight.

I agree that the 24/7 shows are much better than the UFC countdown shows. Level of production is just another level.

i wish they were a full hour each, they dont even last a full 30 min.I want MOAR!!

I love it! I loved the 2nd episode of the pac vs delahoya, I enjoyed how they said there is no joking around at wildcard and it showed pacquiao going toe to toe with men who are probably weighing 170 now but fight at 154.

but it seems this 24/7 is low key compared to the ones with mayweather jr.

They should be good. They cost HBO a fucking lot of money.

Small investment in comparison to the money they make. Also, having dipped my toe in that industry, documentaries are not that hard to make.

are we talking about the UFC countdown or the HBO countdown? Either way, 24/7 is obviously better b/c it's a multi episode series that has a lot of time to dedicate to the fighters and the pre-fight incidents. Compared to the half-hour long or so countdown shows is like comparing an ocean to a pond. Of course the ocean will be more impressive.

The last 2 mins of the first Pac/DLH 24/7 episode is just awesome to watch (the part where the Coldplay music comes on and you see the two fighters training).

Absolutely epic stuff.

EDIT: The song there is called "Life in Technicolor" by Coldplay.

It's not better because just because its longer. Making these types of mini series is HBO's specialty. They are a part production company, they have much more knowledge and experience making theatricals than UFC. If you don't know UFC's countdown shows used to be even more lacking before they changed the narrator to mimic the theatrics and production quality of 24/7. Still the narrator of 24/7 is much better. And your argument about HBO having more time to dedicate to the fighters doesn't make sense. UFC has as much time, if not more to film their fighters before a fight. HBO doesn't start filming 24/7 until just a few weeks before the fights (the film includes very recent footage leading up to the fights). The difference is just production quality.

Thanks, I was looking for that song.

Hey, do you know the songs that played at the end for the 24/7 Calzaghe vs Roy Jones?

I hope they keep doing the 24/7 documentary series for all big fights from now on...
