Speaking of the PPV events
Confirmed locations so far

UFC 283 = Brasil
UFC 284 = Australia
UFC 285 = USA
UFC 286 = England

I wonder if they are going to go to Abu Dhabi and Singapore this year for PPV cards too. If that's the case then this years is going to be the one with the most PPV events outside of the USA

I also wonder when are they gonna make a PPV card in Russia? They have plenty of Russian top fighters

They won't go to Russia till the war is over. The backlash from "news" watchers and the State Department would outweigh any good business done over there.

But even before the war, they have never made a PPV card over there before

Not even when they had Khabib

I wonder why, Russia is such a big country with so much history in MMA
I'm very sure the UFC is popular enough iver there and Russia always has big names in MMA

They aren't going to Russia for a long time. I think Singapore is a nice place to have an event but the ticket sales are probably terrible. Same with Abu Dhabi except the government there will pay for the event.

They might use Zhang to headline an event in Singapore as champion since China is still a bit funky with COVID restrictions. I am surprised they didn't try for more Mexican shows. Moreno is Champion now so they might go back soon. Yair might win the interim so it might increase the chance of another Mexican event.

It might also just be a business risk in general with how powerful the Russian Mob is there. Dana still probably has PTSD flashbacks when he hears his kid playing Yakuza 5.

Timezone is messed up so the PPV timing will be messed up. It's not going to sell much PPVs in America. PPV also doesn't exist in Russia. The expected ticket prices aren't being sold for much. The tickets start at 25 to 500 bucks for the ringside seats. Normal MMA tickets at local event is like ten bucks. They also can't just go have a show there. They need to sit down with someone from the government and run through a lot of hoops.

There was this Khabib interview saying they might have fight night in Russia but he wouldn't fight on it. He needs to be on PPV.
