Most fans thought he retired with Ray Allen. Guy must have money problems why else would he decide to be a bench warmer for the league minimum?
 
I remember after the C's won the title, Pierce proclaimed himself the best player in the game lol
 
Ray Allen also should have won the Finals MVP in 08, not Pierce. Pierce had one great game, Allen was efficient all throughout including shooting 52% from 3 and scoring 26 points in the closing game while averaging only 1 less point for the series than Pierce on a way higher clip.

Rierce was great on both sides of the ball
 
Pierce was a better player than Ray Ray in 2008 (and throughout their careers), including in the Finals.
