A few people have expressed an interest in this as the next F13 Team Comp. However, in the interests of fairness, I thought I put up a Poll with various options, so that people could vote for their favorites.

I'm not running this Comp and I won't be Captaining a Team. Just thought I'd give anyone interested a chance to choose which Lifts they want to compete at.

Voted, but I can only participate in comps like this until April.

Fair enough; whoever picks you would just have to make sure they have a Reserve to cover you when you leave.

I voted option 2. Ins love to partake.

In for 2. though I wouldn't mind push pressing either. I'll go with majority desicion.

My bad; I should have clarified that whichever option proves the most popular, competitors will be able to use whatever type of Overhead Press they choose. So you can SOHP, Push-Press or Clean and Jerk/Split Jerk. The only restriction is you must stick to the Press you have chosen for the duration of the Comp.

Again, I'm sorry I didn't make that clear from the beginning.

Why not dips and weighed chins?

Cant do any heavy ocerhead stuff but my dips are coming along.

Just choose OP and Weighted Chins, but make it clear you will only be competing in the Chins. This happens all the time in two Lift Comps; people choose one Lift to specialize in.

The only drawback is that Captains may choose to Draft people who compete in both Lifts first, as they will potentially add more to the Team Total.

For the record, I absolutely suck at Pull Ups, so I would be concentrating on Push-Press.

Going by the Poll at the moment, that won't be a problem, Albion.

If full cleans are allowed too, I'd be in on Press + Cleans. I'd really be down for Cleans (full or power) + Overhead any way (Pick your style - Jerk, Press, or Push Press).

That would have been my preferred option as well. But so far it's looking like a OP and W/Chins Comp.

So far Overhead Press and Weighted Chins are ahead by only one vote. If it stays relatively evenly split between the first three options, I suggest we use the fourth option: Press, Chins and Cleans, since this will allow everyone who wants to compete to do their favorite Lift(s).

I remembered we talked about this in the previous thread so no worries .

This won't be a problem if I captain. I just have make enough progress to count for 2-3 people :icon_twis.

I'm in for weighted chins and OHP.

I've never done these competitions, but am definitely interested. If anybody wants to give me a quick rundown, I'd appreciate it.

Those who want to be captains pick the teams and then the focus is just to improve team total. The team with the biggest total wins (right?) and the person who improved the least is thrown to a pit filled with wolves and lions (right?)

Well, I am absolutely in then!
