Greatest be thy name
Hardest working wr corps in the league
I kinda like this Carl Bradford guy. If anything, he's got some attitude, which is something this team is severely lacking
Let's go Rodgers, Rodgers, and Clinton-Dix, Haha.
I'm still surprised Abbrederis fell so far. I was heavily against drafting another receiver, but man I can't complain about getting him. Dude makes plays
Too bad San Fran just made us their bitch in draft selections. When did that organization become so well-ran?
If HaHa works out, I'm not too worried about what other teams do
I was worried about an offensive player from 'Bama last season now.
I'll be a little less worried since it's a defensive player.
I'm so torn on Ha-Ha. On one hand, he was the safest pick for us possible. He's smart, experienced and plays the position we most need. On the other hand, his ceiling would seem to e low. With his limited measurables, it's hard to imagine him ever being better than an average-to-above average starter.
And I have a similar reaction to Adams and Abbrederis (who was a fucking steal as a fifth rounder). Guys like Thorton and Janis, on the other hand, are more boom-or-bust. I could definitely see Janis being real productive a few years down the line.
But, I just revisited San Fran's draft....and GOOD GOD, they made out like bandits.
Video on our draft picks
Ha Ha Clinton-Dix S Alabama
Davante Adams WR Fresno State (sidenote lead all of CFB with 131 catches and 24 touchdowns!)
Khyri Thornton DT Southern Miss (literally nothing on him, just ESPN's video when he got picked)
Richard Rodgers TE California (game tape)
Carl Bradford LB Arizona State
Corey Linsley C Ohio State (game tape) (side note, was a Packers fan growing up and dressed up as Brett Favre for Halloween, also can bench 500 lbs. Like him already)
Jared Abbrederis WR Wisconsin
Demetri Goodson CB Baylor (game tape) (sidenote: 2 sport athlete, basketball/football)
Jeff Janis WR Saginaw Valley State (sidenote, 6'3 and ran a 4.42 40 and benched 20 reps, physically is a freak)
I'm not a Wisconsin fan, so I could care less if we get hometown guys. But Abbrederis was such a value pick in the 5th.
This guy could be an interesting free agent pickup since he was projected as a mid round pick but went undrafted because of a heart problem. Usually the Packers have one or two undrafted guys every year make the team, maybe hes that guy... or maybe he gets cut and we never hear of him again. (also he passed his physical)
Plus expert analyst in character Nolan Nawrocki gave him a good review
We're turning in to Tuscaloosa north and I love it. Last time I saw Haha and Lacy on the same file they were hoisting a crystal ball. I don't think there's anything to worry about Clinton-Dix is gonna be a stud especially since he won't be asked to play in the box as much with Burnett here. My new #21 jersey is in the mail. I hated our draft at first but I think I like it now especially if Datone Jones makes that jump and Clay and Perry stay healthy
Yeah he made Roby look like a giant can in that game, had over 200 yards. What made it more impressive is that UW is a running team and has had awful QB play since Rustle got drafted.
Was reading that he was doing a lot of kickoff/punt returns this weekend, he did a nice job with that in college. If hes going to contribute right away itll be in the return game.
Like what Im seeing here from Coke Lyerla. Tough guy to bring down and good in the redzone. Hopefully he can stay clean, he has a lot of potential.
Lol at "Coke". The guy likes some blow every so often, so what? I can't blame him
But seriously doe, he's a beast. Could be very good in the red zone
Plus hes a true A level athlete. 6'4, same height as a certain UFC champion that cant dunk
unrelated but just saw this
Better keep Colt away from the snow Cheeseheads
Packers should hire me to keep him clean, and "destroy" whatever he gets caught with
So Finley posted these cryptic messages on twitter yesterday. What does it mean? Would you like to see him back? His number hasnt been given out to anyone yet.
Personally I wouldnt because it seems like they did a lot to replace him at TE so it would feel like a waste if they did bring him back. Would they have drafted Rodgers or resigned Quarless or even added Lyerla if Finley just came back and wasnt injured? They could have addressed another position, especially with the draft pick.
But he'd be the best guy for sure so theres that as well. Id just rather give the younger guys a shot. RB's/WR's will be getting the bulk of the yards anyway.
