Ye, but it could be worse, though. Could have lost in the NCAA Finals to a team led by Mario Chalmers, and then torn his ACL, remaining on the bench in a suit for the rest of his career.

Lol'ing hard @ these 90s achievements. About 1/4 of the value of an 00s achievement.

Mark clearly the 2nd greatest of all time, however. No shame in being 2nd to the One True.

Shaq was good but not GOAT good.

Shaq was good but not GOAT good.

Agreed. While Shaq was a dominant force, he only truly shined/became a winner when he embraced his 2nd fiddle role during the 3peat. Lucky for him he played alongside the greatest player to ever pick up a basketball during that run .

haha, that dude exposed himself bad. I think only BD would be proud to have pics with those uglies.

Lmao @ that can Rozwell besmirching himself posting a bunch of d-level athletes with Revo 2s and 3s.

Lol yea Kobes good too. But MJ was amazing.

I wonder if some noob will report my post critiquing those 1's and 2's.

MJ was a great player no doubt, but he truly pales in comparison to the One True. When you get down to the nitty gritty and analyze their respective skill level (shooting, defense, handles, foot work, post up, post foot work, defensive foot work, defensive post foot work, etc) the picture becomes a lot more clear and you reach the conclusion -like many of the greatest basketball minds have- that the one true GOAT is simply superior to Markel from a basketball skill stand point.

So you're saying, it's totally probable for a team to shoot absolutely lights out throughout a 7 game series?

Now who sounds absolutely retarded?

You.

Good offensive execution (among other things) is what every team tries to accomplish every time they step on the floor. The Spurs 1st half execution wasn't good - it was exceptional. That's a good thing and you made it sound like a curse in disguise. Not sure of you were a reaching Heat fan or a rustled Heat fan but you were surely a retarded Heat fan.

Derek Fisher might be close to MJ level. Kobe's more of a poor man's MJ or a poor man's Derek Fisher. But he's got a few inches on his Derek - I give him that.

MJ > DF >>>>>>> Kobe

If you shoot your tough shots at a better clip than a teammate would, then it is smarter to try it. It's all about team efficiency and the win.

Yes. This is called the Kobe dilemma. The problem for him came when his teammates were unconvinced that his tough shots were better than their best, and stopped moving offensively.

When Iverson was with the sixers, his teammates all realized almost any of his shots were better than theirs, and they got to the finals.

Lebron is one of biggest protectors of his FG% in the history of the NBA, his FG% are irrelevant because no one else has ever played for stats like he does. Lebron in some ways is this era Wilt chamberlain with size, speed, strength, power, agility, but lacks intangibles and killer instinct in big games it comes and goes. I know it's early but other than amazing game by Lebron in Game 2 he has been pretty lackluster.
You followed a tremendously intelligent and insightful post by Palp with an equally stupid and blind one. Lebron is better than Kobe. Stop fucking crying that he's a better shooter.

And with that...next thread.

they got to the finals because of their defense and being in a weak East. Iverson shot 42% from the floor during his MVP season, which was near the bottom of his team. Great at penetration and great handles, lots of heart, but he didn't have a great jumper and just spammed shots. The following year he was shooting 38% from the floor
