The most terrible year in Olympic boxing for USA, yet had the most success in the pros.

Fought for a belt
2000 - 5/12
2004 - 5/9
2008 - 4/8
2012 - 8/9, Jamel Herring was 1 win away (lost at eliminator)
2016 - 0/6 - Shakur will probably win a belt and Nico will at least fight for a belt

What about the 1996 team

Let me know when one of these "olympians" fights a guy like Mason Menard even once during their padded rise to a title

There hasn’t been a male US Olympic champion since Ward, right?

Clarissa Shields ends up the most accomplished of the 2016 team, I think. Well hell, she already is.

Welp, Jamel Herring is fighting for a title

Make that 9/9 male Olympic participants who've fought for a title

Haven’t seen anything really impressive from Balderas either, I think Lopez makes him look for coins on the canvas if/when they fight based on all the lip from Balderas.

2012 has been making a bit of a comeback lately. Browne just beat Jack. Spence is riding high off of dominant performances. I guess Warren lost to Oubaali but he's nonetheless a pretty good fighter. Ramirez is a titlist, albeit one feeding on mediocre opponents.
