Any comments / criticisms / analysis welcome, thanks guys.

I was wondering why no one at all was cheering for the other guy, but then I realized the other guy was named Shane too.

In your semi final gi match, you gave up that two points pretty easily right at the beginning. You probably want to scramble on top from there instead of falling back next time.

You looked good out there bro. Keep it up.

That was referree error there, if 2 people pull guard and then one comes on top, the guy coming on top gets advantage, it's clearly stated in the rules. I agree though, i shouldn't even give up the advantage... After watching our match, i think i could have won this match playing more top game instead of going too easily to my guard.

Great job hitting that rolling triangle in the second round Gi match.

I work that move a lot right now and still tweeking grips. I prefer the cross grip and when going for the triangle (not the Omoplata) it makes a huge difference to have DOUBLE cross grip. He lands in the triangle perfectly. If you only have one grip, he always has his second hand free to defend the triangle and you often end up in guard instead.

Again, good job.

Work on you posture up top, maybe incorporate some passes from the knees. You seem to get swept a lot if your standing.

Hey man, it was cool to meet you. You had some really good fights and I really like your guard style and that rolling triangle transition is wicked.

you will notice the same rolling triangle attempt in the suzuki match and the openweight gi match, i do have the problem of controlling their posture after the roll, thanks for the tips shanghai, i will try em out.
