As ever this is an open category although Olympic champion Ayumi Tanimoto reigned supreme a year ago. She won every fight convincingly but that was partly helped by an injury to world champion Daniella Krukower of Argentina who crashed out with an elbow problem and a surprise early defeat for Cuba

Suzuki is apparently the new Japanese Judo dude. Cool....

Fuji TV in Japan only showed the Japanese matches, so didn't see Bryant fight in the final...

Watched all Suzuki's matches. Interesting how he got stronger and more aggressive as the tournament went on. Yep, he's #1 no doubt about it.

Craig Fallon took gold in his category, congratulations to him
 
Yeah, Fallon was picked for a medal in Athens, but had a disappointing games.
He cruised past the Japanese fighter on his way to gold.
Shame about Bryant(again).
