As a relative outsider to the sport, I was wondering whether anyone could give me advice on the kind of swag (free stuff) that an amateur fighter would find usefull that would cost about $20. Any usefull suggestions are appreciated.

I don't know much of anything that costs $20. Maybe entry fees to tournaments and matches, I can't think of any gear related items.

maybe a cup. but if your idea is to put your logo on it and use these free give aways for advertising that might not work very well.

if your plan is to give stuff away as a promotional deal maybe timers, jump ropes, tape, tiger balm, shock doc mouthguards, ankle wraps, hand wraps, water bottles, vaseline, ice bag, ...

i'm sure there's more but this is just what I thought of right off the top of my head. most of those are less than $20 so you could combine like a timer and a rope, or hand wraps, mouthguard, and tape.

You can get at least 6 months of Cryogel for $20 :icon_chee

I think the SSF shorts are around $20-$30 and they are pretty cool.

ankle supports, hand wraps, mouthpeice, cup...dunno what else really..

oh...$20 can get you a pen and paper, to write a resume and get a JOB!

doesnt SSF have like a fighter pack? with gloves, cups, shinguards, etc?

I doubt it 20 bucks, but its a good investment if you don't want specific gear from different vendors.

Thanks for the help, a few of you mentioned mouthguards and handwraps. Those sound like good ideas. I know there are about 100 posts on which ones are best, but would any of you find a $20 mouthguard helpfull, or would you just throw it away? I dont want to give anyone a piece of junk that they would laugh at. This is not for promotion, just a token of appreciation for some guys helping me out.

some people will only use customs. I got one to protect my teeth after spending a bundle on dental work. but the vast majority of people still wear the cheap mouthguards. I think I'm the only guy atmy gym with a custom, including the pro fighters. I've even seen guys in the UFC wearing shock Docs. Anyway, even if they usually wear a custom it's not bad to have a backup.
