I wouldn’t count the US out completely. They would have moved probably if they had. The US is still the premiere navy and Air Force. They are very close behind, though. Their fleet is a bit newer but still lacks a lot of capability: carriers and subs. Right now, they would get handled but not settled. Times are changing quickly, and you are completely right about their manufacturing capability.

But they weren't acting alone and as such those optics mean next to nothing, ask yourself why during the early stages of the pandemic when we started shutting down international flights was China the only country on Earth that virtually every country gave exemptions to on their travel bans. Criticism of such was just dismissed as racism.

China, Russia, EU, US, India and other nations can't even agree on tariffs, russian/ukraine war and many other things - but they all united to spread deadliest virus world has ever seen that caused shitlioad of deaths and near worldwide economic collapse? Bunch of nations with wildly different world views, governments and policies united to spread this virus?

This conspiracy is in the same vein as chem trails conspiracy (which would also require massive ammount of coordinatioon between nations and would have to include shitload of people)

Coincidences happen on a daily basis - and Chinese, no matter how much advanced they think they are, are still incompetent when it comes to a lot of things - covid is probably a combination of both of those factors (coincidence+incompetence) instead of it being a pure malice between world wide leaders.

they haven't been in any conflict, they haven't been to war....their officers don't know what war sounds like, it's stuff you have to learn, get used to.
The americans know warfare, they've been doing it for most of the last 80 years. i'm not even aware of tactical military exercises china has undertook. you can tell quite a bit from those, even if they're normally made to make the leadership look good.
i don't think they'll try attacking Taiwan until they will be able to deny access to America somehow.

but of course i could be wrong and they may attack taiwan this summer.

the US has war experience with sand people carrying bazooka in afghanistan, they have trouble taking out the freaking Houthis. they haven't fought a near peer since WW2
the last real successful military operation by the US was desert storm and that was more than 30 years ago. times are different. China is not Iraq and US isn't what it used to be
