Shawshank. The movie without John Travolta is always the correct answer

I think he's terrible. Horrible accents, overacts, just don't care for him

Pulp Fiction is definitely the more important and impactful movie.

Does that make it better? Not necessarily, but I think it’s better.

The character was written as Anthony Manero (Saturday Night Fever) after the dancing stopped. No one could have played that role but Travolta. He was flawless in it.

Pulp Fiction was better the first time comparatively, but I think Shawshank is better to rewatch multiple times.

The Shawshank Redemption, no contest, not even close, different league.

  16. I've seen Pulp Fiction too much to turn on it now. It opened my "door" to watch fetishes.

Pulp Fiction could have been great if Tarantino didn't let it run on for so fucking long. By the third act you're just like jesus is this the same movie still going and going? Could have been perfect if it was 116-124 minutes

Yeah I tend to agree, don't dislike Shawshank at all but I think its a pretty standard drama that manages to avoid straying into overt cheese.

Personally from 94 I would pick Pulp Fiction, Three Colours Red, Chunking Express, Exotica, True Romance, Heavenly Creatures etc ahead of it.

Pulp Fiction edges it for me, but two great films from one of the GOAT years for cinema.
