Hello there.

I'm a 17 year old kid who is rather skinny. I'm 1,83 cm and weigh 68 kg. My body type is slim and my ''muscles'' are defined. Abs are popping out, but bones are not. However, I am not satisfied with my physique. My shoulders are wide, however my back is not big and my arms are certainly not at the size I want them to be. I want to gain more weight. My question is: Can you recommmend a workout schedule for me and some smart foods to eat?

I'm not much of a cooking type of guy or making foods that require more than 5 mins. I eat whatever I can get my hands on, that is easily accessible. Maybe I'll have 2 slices of bread and 25 ounces of milk, for example. I want similar foods.

When it comes to the workout, I would like to know the drills that build the most muscle.

Thanks for all the help you give.

Consider buying the Starting Strength book by Mark Rippetoe.

Visit the D&S sub-forum for advice on your diet. Two slices of bread and some milk better be a snack and not a meal.

Good luck.

Your probably going to here this from everyone. But you just need to eat. Basically what you eat now is enough to keep you 68kg (150lbs), if you want to get bigger you need to eat for your goal. So if you want to weight 185-200, or more than you need to eat for that size. As far as not wanting to spend time cooking, sorry, no real way around that unless you wanna spend alot of money on protein powders and various food replacements. Basically give up on seeing your abs for awhile. If you are really serious about putting on some size, you will invariably put on some fat.

For workouts? Way to broad of a question. You need to specify goals, what are you training for? For size specific goals, its not necessarily the exercises you do, but the rep/set scheme you do, and how often you do them (dependent on recovery time).

visit Precision Nutrition or look up John Berardi (creator of PN) join his scrawny to brawny program and don't look back. He is the man when it comes to body transformations.

Stop being a lazy ass, and put some time into preparing your food.

i was in a similar situation to you, but i'm a little taller and weighed a little more. but basically:

wendler's 5/3/1 + eat alot of pasta, and a bunch of anything else you can eat thats healthy, and drink lots of milk = weight gain.

i gained about 13-15 lbs in 2 months, is it all muscle? no. but w.e.

pushups pullups and dips works everytime.

loll so does eating two honeybuns before going to bed but i don't recomend this way.

I'm sure the needle is just for badass tattoos.
