100% of the fights in “the kumite” would have ended with somebody being pushed off the mat.

Literally every match. It would have been sumo with smaller people. A quick push and anybody steps off the platform.

What an embarrassing premise considering the mat they fought on and stepping off means you lose.

In the movie nobody gets pushed off. Jackson throws one guy off.

Frank Dux held back to avoid that.

Well that movie would have sucked

Pushfighter: Shove to the Wobble.

This movie had everyone, John Kreese, Johnny Lawrence, Joe Son.
It's like what happened to Cobra Kai during Karate Kid 2

Only a fight to the death can determine a true champion.

Give him a break. Frank was making all this shit up off the top of his head in a bar. You can't expect him to have thought out every detail.

Is that movie worth watching?

Hmmm... Kind of as a low budget 1990s martial arts time capsule. If you really like Bolo or Martin Kove. As a quality movie on its merits, I can't speak that highly of it.

Just saw the trailer, looks low budget.
