If its unsupervised probation then he should do the 10 in 10 out.

But 10 years of supervised probation would be brutal and just about anybody could violate over that time period. So in that case taking the 20 is probably the better move.
 
That deal is if he pleads guilty right? So he still has to be convicted? They dont make deals with you after your sentenced so maybe he thinks he'll win? Your initial post didnt make much sense/
 
So my homeboy is going to prison the d.a offered him 10 years in prison followed by ten years of probation or 20 years in prison. Being the moron that he is he chose the 20 years. his reasoning is that he didn't wanna do 10 years just to get out and be put on probation for another 10 years he's like f it I'll do the 20 then get out with no probation .that's just stupid imo

Who in their right mind would choose 20 over 10 in 10 out?!!!
