There has been a bunch of construction around my area since Biden took office and especially since this bill has passed. Re doing multiple complex interchanges and loads of highway overpasses. It’s been a pain in the ass but totally worth it in the long run.

Aging bridges in 16 different states are going to be rebuilt, as 6 billion dollars is allocated for this in the infrastructure bill. Dems also recently announced 300 million in grants to further go towards this purpose.

No thanks to the GOP of course, who promised this under Trump, gave up entirely, and tried to block us from succeeding as well.

They are old. We also repair very slowly and it is very costly for upkeep. I think it's a union thing. They are paid by the hour anyways. There is no incentive to finish the project faster.

I’ve never been to PA that I can recall, but I’m glad to see that some of things are being done. If it wasn’t for the GOP and dbags like Joe Manchin, Dems could’ve done even better for he American people. They had to trim quite a bit off that bill to get it through. :/


I’ll say this: Biden might be a geriatric fuck, but he actually got quite a lot done for one term. I hope we can continue to improve America’s infrastructure, we really need it.

Kind of a lot built, repaired, replaced, planned, and funded. A quick search turned these up.

I just found out theres a bridge project like 20 minutes from me on a road I take to get to/from Chinatown.

But bear in mind it was not the "bridge bill" the money went to expand american manufacturing, modernize the grid, modernize ports, cleanup superfund sites, etc... and it's not all done yet.

While I can tell you in the manufacturing sector I'm already seeing the benefits of that spending, it's just getting going. We won't even fully realize the economic benefits until the Trump or Harris administration (and they will take full credit for that bump).

In short order we got Trump’s disorganized vaccine rollout mess under control, got people vaxxed and ended the pandemic, brought the inevitable post-pandemic inflation down from 8% down to 2.9%, capped insulin and other prescriptions drugs permanently for those on Medicare, passed a 1 trillion dollar infrastructure bill, plus the 550 billion dollar Build Back Better Act (to invest in child care, health care, clean energy, higher ed, and other things), passed the CHIPS and Science Act to strengthen American manufacturing…

All in one term.
