Too much chains

LOL I just watched the fight.

I cannot believe that Dana gave this woman a contract.

She's in her late thirties, is totally inexperienced and got lit up in the second round by another novice fighter in spite of her boxing background.

...and this is the dude who blackballed Brendan Loughnane from fighting the UFC over a takedown.

Shit like this is why I don't take Dana seriously as a promoter. For all of the good stuff that he does, he makes or breaks careers based on weird personal biases.
I think the problem is the UFC has 2.5 fighters in that women's 145 division

Should have signed that girl she fought too, fuck it. Nothing to lose. Most WMMA divisions are made up of cans anyway.

The women's 145 division has never really had more than a couple of fighters on the roster at any given time.

Also, Wolf would get slaughtered by the likes of Spencer and Anderson. Her name shouldn't even be mentioned next to Nunes.

The UFC would be better off re-signing the male flyweight talent that they let go when they wanted to kill the division.

I never understood why they gave up on the division because it doesn't draw, but are committed to promoting a bunch of terrible WMM

I was thinking about how a 0-0 woman who was fighting for a slot in barren the WFW Division would’ve simply needed a win to get a contract... additionally she’s got something else that’s marketable for all the tranny loving MMA fans,

Wow, really low voice, spectacular muscular development and has been competing at levels with likely low drug testing. I’m not gonna lie, I’d spend some time looking for that larger than life jelly bean she’s probably packing.

She should just go hard on her boxing. I don’t like it when fighters from other disciplines make the transition and lose that specialist edge.

She doesn’t need to take an MMA bog standard stance and play it safe. The leg kicks were alright but she needs to her true skills more. She might starch some of these chicks and get herself ranked.

The problem is she's not a particularly good boxer to begin with, Danyelle is not a female Mike Tyson, she's a lot closer to Holly Holm than anything else.

Wood not.

<{clintugh}>

Although my missus thinks she's fit when we watched last night.

Bro... she knocked out this dude, she can bete anyone..

I wish her the best for her career in the UFC. As usual bitter sexist men can't stand the sight of strong and successful women.

My theory

The biggest expense for a division is the champion.

As long as the champion brings in more than they were getting paid the division is profitable.

The other fighters in the division get paid the same has the other filler bodies in the UFC. So it doesn’t really matter for the UFC what division those guys are in they are all interchangeable

DJ didn’t draw back well and he always gave the company trouble so the UFC consider just scraping the FLWs.

They changed course when Cejudo took the belt and became the double champ because they were for getting a champ for two divisions for the price of one, Cejudo seemed to have greater marketing potential and most importantly was willing to work with the company.

Nunes being a double champ the UFC gets two champs for the price of one. And she is easy to work with.

Plus it’s clear that Nunes is gonna be running out of bodies at 135

The only real downside about getting more WFWs is that hardcores will complain but the casuals, who are the overwhelming majority of their audience won’t care at all. So the UFC will just ignore that

In fact, casuals are actually pretty impressed by can crushing. Having a division of cans can be very profitable

WORST CASE SCENARIO: Nunes retires as champion the scrap the division

BEST CASE SCENARIO: A couple years down the round some younger fighter takes out a older Nunes and becomes a star

There really is no downside
