Just as a matter of personal preference or as a historian? I'd appreciate if you would elaborate.I can't do most historical fiction

Well, both I suppose. I'm pretty picky about my shows and movies in general, though, so it's not just a history-specific snobbishness.Just as a matter of personal preference or as a historian? I'd appreciate if you would elaborate.
It was my bad, you did not imply anything about slavery in the Americas. So there's that.
Now, again, since you abruptly stopped replying when I asked you to back up your claims, I restate my ask:
"Given the well established numbers, provide a rationale for your claim that the barbary trade, which is estimated at enslaving 1.5 million white european christians is equivalent to the Trans-Atlantic slave trade with it's estimated 12.5 million enslaved.
Also, explain why you posted the view that it was the civil war that sparked the european abolition of slavery despite the well known facts."
Lol and behold this morning as I open up my web browser to "work", I see front page on lovely msn.com with the sensational headline: Strong Twitter Backlash Against Game of Thrones Creators' New Series in Which Slavery Remains Legal
http://www.msn.com/en-us/tv/news/st...s-legal/ar-AAotkwl?li=BBmkt5R&ocid=spartandhp
Let's delve into this shall we, per the articles own synopsis and quotes:
So after reading this introduction about this new show Confederate and the direction of the show, that's of an alternate timeline in regards to the outcome of the Civil War, how does this make you feel? I mean, does it in anywhere in the synopsis say that the show is pro-slavery? It clearly says that the show will follow characters on both sides of the story. Does that automatically mean that the creators are racist?
Is the standard reaction nowadays is simply to not educate yourself on the subject but to attack?
Are you outraged by this show? If so, what do you think of this?:
Bunch of Uncle Toms huh? Or....... people of sound mind who want to get their creativity and freedom of expression out there for the world to see by telling a story that encapsulates the very basis for how different, interesting and horrible a world might be where slavery was an continued mainstay (like it was for thousands of years prior) for generations to grow up in; an indoctrination if you will that is science fiction.
As usual, there will be backlash with something like this that is deemed controversial. I mean there was backlash for the show "Dear White People" where white people were basically saying; you don't walk in our shoes, how are you going to tell us what to say or how we should act? So it's normal for the 'other' side to be like; well we know slavery and we still experience it so how dare you want to enjoy slavery as entertainment on TV!
Regardless, I think it's thought provoking enough and everyone loves race wars on Sherdog so...
Enjoy.

Here is what you saidYou cant read worth shit. You havent gotten a single thing right and you keep asking me to explain things that I either linked to that explains it already, or for things I never said.
YOU prove to ME that I said the American Civil War sparked European abolition of slavery...go on fool, provide the quote. If you can, which you cant because it doesnt exist, I will answer it...and then explain where I "abruptly" stopped replying to you when there is a new post for you to reply to...you are delusional.
Try getting one single thing right for a change.
Here is what you said
"Also, someone should tell the dumb cunt known as Marc Bernardin, that if someone were to do a show where "the African Slave Trade" didnt exist that it would mean they would still be slaves...in Africa...where they were bought from...since slavery existed in Africa...then America never would have had a war to end Slavery, and it would have never been banned in Europe...then white people woudlnt have used their economies to force it to end world wide so AFRICANS WOULD STILL BE SLAVES IN AFRICA TODAY..."
You made your erroneous view pretty clear..
Person that shows they clearly cant read twice, continues...a third time and all from the SAME POST.
To end Slavery, and
, and.
Not , leading to
Not, causing
, and.
You are an uneducated twat and dont even understand basic English.
Your wording was clear enough to demonstrate your belief
Good job not addressing the fact that you seem to think the Barbary trade rivaled the Trans-Atlantic trade.
End slavery, and.
Basic ENGLISH.
Also, information from an outside source is not the providers "personal" opinion. You however only have your personal opinion and nothing else like all uneducated twats.
Maybe this will help you not come off as an ignoramus on this site...more of my "personal" opinion and not truth since I am providing it...to all schools...

1. Separating the Main Elements of a Sentence from Each Other
Right or Wrong?
The students completed their math test on Monday, and the teachers handed in the grades on Thursday.
Right! The above sentence is composed of two independent clauses, each informing about two different people who did different things.
I'm not gonna say you seem to be foaming at the mouth, but.
No trailer for this show? Like to update the OP since it two fucking years old.
So you are telling everyone you are envisioning white gooey stuff around my mouth...
Forget the insults and just stick to circle jerking dead points, it really is the only thing you have a small amount of skill at.
Well, considering you haven't even so much as addressed one of your claims
Here is what you said
"Also, someone should tell the dumb cunt known as Marc Bernardin, that if someone were to do a show where "the African Slave Trade" didnt exist that it would mean they would still be slaves...in Africa...where they were bought from...since slavery existed in Africa...then America never would have had a war to end Slavery, and it would have never been banned in Europe...then white people woudlnt have used their economies to force it to end world wide so AFRICANS WOULD STILL BE SLAVES IN AFRICA TODAY..."
You made your erroneous view pretty clear. You think the civil war was the spark for civilized nations abolishing the trade. You are wrong.
Also, address your claim of equivalence between the Barbary trade and the Trans-Atlantic slave trade, given the well established numbers showing a ten fold increase in the Trans-Atlantic trade over the Barbary trade.
And for God's sake, try to avoid crying in addressing me.
I would assume he means the Arab Slave Trade, which the Barbary Slaves were just a small fraction of.
He referenced the Barbary trade specifically. He compared it and the tran-atlantic trade directly, and when I brought the numbers, he neglected to address them.
I wonder, truly. Will you ever try a new form of bottom feeding Shertard posting tactics or will you always remain locked into the same old tired garbage...I mean, that is verbatim from the same shit in the last 3 threads you have tried to "debate" me in.
Provide one single link backing what you say. Anything, from another source that supports you.
And yes, bold red and underlined is to help the special ED kids notice the things they seem incapable of noticing without them...because, retard.
