This doesn't play like regular boxing at all. Paulies pitter patter style won't translate. Here's the rub, Paulie's pitter patter will actually be capable of damage and knocking down Artem if he sits down on the punches and throws. It's chaos and a crap shoot, but Artem has been more active, and Artem can take a punch.

Yeah, that's the way I initially saw it. But then again, you can't exactly call Firas Zahabi dumb. He had some very probing and interesting pre-fight analysis . In a straight boxing match, yes, a mismatch of totally absurd proportions. In a wild free for all with an opponent who has power and a notoriously sturdy chin with different rules and no gloves? .....the intangibles become real. The biggest factor is my mind is the looming trifecta; no gloves, Paulie's brittle hands, Lobov's carbonite head. With all these things being said, Paulie should still be the favorite, but its no longer a foregone conclusion in my opinion.
 
Is anyone actually gonna pay for this fight? I think Paulie is underestimating MMA fans. People aren't gonna buy this just because it's Conor-adjacent

As for me, I have a hard time seeing how Paulie could not break his brittle hands in a bare knuckle match with a hard headed opponent. Maybe he focuses on the body mainly. That would be a smart strategy.

-No BK experience
-BK does not equal Boxing
-Has been KO’d/TKO’d many times
-Toughness is in question
-Accustomed to 10+oz gloves
-Little to gain = liability

Artem:
-Does not have brittle hands
-Has fought recently
-Has more BK experience than Paulie
-Only KO’d/TKO’d once in 30 fights (2011)
-Toughness is not in question
-Accustomed to 4oz gloves
-Little to lose = dangerous

Ultimately I believe Artem’s qualities will translate better than Paulie’s in a BK fight. If this was a boxing match then Artem would get clowned hard AF but as I’ve said before, BK does not equal Boxing

The average boxing fan is fucking retarded. Call it the sweet "science" all you want but it won't change the fact that 80% of boxing's fanbase is rednecks, wanksters, and cholos.

I've spent years around both fanbases and have to say MMA's is better. You get around the tapout wearing bros and the majority of MMA's fanbase is soft spoken nerds. They may lack a lot of things but intelligence generally isn't one of them.

That being said, Sherdog is mostly horrible.

Even Firas Zahabi believes this will be a major factor but I’m sure you’re more fight savvy than he is.
