It's strange to me because when one studies a subject like "political science" you can't simply put Israel for every single answer and pass. He KNEW the right answers to graduate then after he graduated he did a hard right wing turn into a silo of ultra Zionism.
Also his wife is from Morocco. lol
@bellend
I also took political science classes/Graduated....It's not what you think tbh.
Lets say I take a class studying South-East Asia....I will learn about south-east asian politics, get a really broad view of the area..However Im no way near close to being an expert...This is why I say, I think most people could easily learn politics and be at the same level as somebody who graduated from UCLA. The only thing that matters is your arguments/writing skills(for your grade), however the knowledge is really broad and easy to understand most of the time, anybody can pick it up IMO, specially with good professors who pretty much breakdown complicated material and make it easy to grasp.
Also just because you graduate as a poli sci major, doesn't mean you're an expert in American politics or politics in general...Sure one of the requirements is to take some American political class at first...after that however, you can concentrate specific fields like South-East Asia Politics, Politics and it's relation to crime, etc.......but like I said, these are very specific topics, thus even if you do graduate, you won't truly be a political expert because Politics is just way to broad...So it's possible for somebody to graduate and know jack shit about certain political policies.
Lastly, in poli sci classes, rarely do you talk about what is currently happening in politics....The Professor has an agenda and specific things he needs to teach so you won't hear anything about Israel/Trump/etc......Unless you take a class that directly has to do with Israel/Trump, you won't hear anything about it.....So you could theoretically graduate from college and have no fucking idea about current politics but you will know about the specific politics you studied lol.
So yeah, ben shapiro could've been 100% pro Israel thru his time @ UCLA and it wouldn't have mattered because if he took classes that had nothing to do with Israel, his bias will never show at all.
