    True, but she also came out of the war with her face still intact.

    nah. resistance movements are always small. people talk about what they would do if their nation was attacked but its generally all talk. French Resistance during WW2, one of the largest resistance movements you could really call upon was less than 1% of the population. Estimates vary between 25000-30000 active participants in a nation whose population was about 40 million. it wasnt until AFTER the invasion, when France was actively being liberated by foreign participants did membership exceed over 100000 members. The Philippines resistance was pretty robust at just a scant over 1%.

    The biggest active resistance movement that can actually put face to is probably the Yugoslav's. you're talking almost a million motherfuckers actively fighting....everybody. is more a civil war than a resistance movement against the Germans. and as such you had a huge volume of people fighting. 5% of the entire population was actively killing someone whether they be German, italian, muslim or communist.

    Churchill sent Sir Fitzroy Mclean to Yugoslavia in 1943. The orders Churchill gave him were simple,

    "Find out who is killing the most Germans. Then find out how we can help them kill even more".

    Mclean went on to become a close friend and ally of Tito.

    @Swing is trying so hard.

    There's more to it than some elite athlete being able to run as fast as a man. A lot more. Go enlist and see what myself and every other veteran on this thread is saying.

    Run fast while hauling 250lbs worth of gear while carrying a 250lb comrade across your shoulders.

    I hope you apply the same standard to manlets, because the military doesn't.

    Are you guys just playing the I'm a vet card and hoping I won't call you on this horseshit? I went on patrol with 11B's, albeit only a handful of times; but what I can say is that not every one of those guys could manage this.

    I'm not a vet and never made it out to be I am one.

    I'm just saying what I hear vet friends of mine say and if a woman can hack it then she can... standards shouldn't be changed though just so more women pass the physical standards.

    I've already stated this position for myself twice in this thread, so kudos to you for repeating the sentiment back at me and acting like it's a revelation.

    You sound angry sir.... perhaps a nice walk should be in order so you aren't biting the heads off of people.

    I'm not trying to act like it's some revelation... you're just trying to make it that way to be more pissed off.

    Not angry. A little irritated though. Maybe the way I went at you was a little uncalled for, but I read your post in tandem with @Stoic1 and @Palis: "I went to basic and I'm a vet" posturing gets on my nerves.

    Soooo... you don't know wtf you're talking about? Lol

    The top woman PT score at basic didn't even come close to my own and I'm not even a runner and I wasn't top PT with a 9m26s 1.5mile

    The physicality isn't close.

    How many times are you going to miss the part where I emphasize that there shouldn't be different standards. Are you one of those guys who needed to get an ASVAB waiver?

    There's both weak and strong people in the military, so I guess you have to ask yourself, do you feel confident getting into a fire fight if half your platoon consists of women?

    First of all, don't ever lump me with the Navy lol. I'm Air Force, aka Chair Force. Second of all, my run time is well beyond maxed you nerd. It's pretty obvious you're a fake when you think a 1.5 mil in 9m26s isn't maxed lol. Very few people on average run that time and only the actual runners out of the group beat me.

    @Swing and a @miss !

    Oh my... there are different standards for women you dumbass lol. Their PT and their PT standards are lighter. Ya you're a stolen valor just by these few admitted posts.
