It’s one of Dana’s most common quotes.

He always says this, yet the stats don’t back this up.

Coming off an event where a 36 year old champion thrashed a 25 year old challenger letting him barely do so much as shadow box the air for two rounds.

The average age of a UFC champion is 33.

I wonder if Dana’s mistaken confidence in this belief contributed to him betting hard on Till?

When will the penny drop for Dana?

How many 60 year olds do you see in MMA?

I blame you for care about crap dana white say

Fighting is a high testosterone game.

ufc has a low talent pool since mcg/wme era.
Todays best are one who were fighting since 2010-2012.
And UFC wont sign any young talent to let him rise like they did with Jones
Northcutt and CM punk is our future

The quote is meant to be a general saying, just like most things. The point isn't that a younger fighter will always beat an older one, the point is that it's much, much harder to be successful at the top level when you've got age and wear and tear on your body from years of fighting.

True but from the way Dana has talked over the years I think he thought that the average age of the UFC champ would be about 24 by now.

He was always out to get Randy Couture and the way he talked about Woodley, clearly thought he was going to get a new champ.

Fighting is a man's sport. Women don't belong in the UFC. They belong in the kitchen.

Breaking news for all you 12 year olds that post here, your not an old man if your in your 30s...... Jesus H Christ.
