you need to stop placing so much emphasis on age my friend....many boxers thoughout history have competed at the very top level at what most would consider way too old to be fighting.....mike would absolutely murder arlovski.....was bernard hopkins and old man? he was world champion at 49...archie moore lied about his age for years, and many believe he fought well into his 50s....and don't forget, trt now exists....which they don't test for in boxing.

those guys you mention are the exception to the rule. Very few boxers could safely compete in to their 50s. Peds can’t address the loss of speed, reactions, timing and durability

tell that to vitor belfort....and many many many things contribute to a fighters decline....marriage, kids, paying for college, loss of motivation from doing it for so long...especially if you've already accomplished alot...if a guy stayed motivated, and trained just as hard, he could easily fight much much longer. and peds can and will absolutely change you....everything from your speed, to power, to your ability to simply be younger....you will have the strength and speed of youth....maybe not exactly the same, but you will be far closer to your peak, than you would, without taking some test.

In 13 years as a professional MMA fighter and 42 fights Sylvia had never actually been KO'ed until he met Mercer. It only took Mercer 9 seconds to land the very first strike/punch he threw and sleep him. Not bad for a near 50 year old badly washed up boxer who never boxed again. At least Big Timmeh recognized his grave mistake despite it being after the fact.

He knew better than to stand with any version of Toney. Randy was never much of a kicker so he likely felt he had no option at all on the feet. They're right about boxing, it is limited, but those limitations make for a specialist and an extremely dangerous one at that.

The other guys weren't able to KO him with a single shot. Whether they could potentially follow up and do it isn't the point as they didn't. So, my point still stands.

This is not a good match up for Arlovski his chin is far too gone and even an old Tyson still has power to Ko alot of MMA heavyweights .

It could basically be a repeat of Sylvia v. Mercer
