Who here was watching the UFC when Edwards made his debut at UFC 33, just crazy thinking about how active this guy was, 5 fights in '98, 6 fights in '99, 6 fights in 2000 and 8 fights in 2001 with the 7th making his UFC debut. Unheard of in this day and age. True warrior.

I think usually once they make it to the big show, fighters tend to slow down. Isn't that right?

I missed time like this when MMA was not so common. I don't want to sound like a douche but most of the fighters today are like some TV reality people, wasting WAYYYYYYY too much time on twitter/instagram/etc. Plus, they are whining about everything (the money, the weigh-cut, the judges, the referree), don't fight every often (and I am sure it will be better to fight more even in other small organisation than once a year and destroy your body in training) and I am not even talking about the very bad trash talk to "build" their fight.

Edit: I'm not your friend, my friend.

Edit 2: I just double-checked, and he did slow down after making his debut. Just Saiyan.

Pulver had eight fights in one year, half of them in UFC.

Yves talks about it in some interviews, says that UFC started to grow around the time he fought Hominick.

I will say right now, this kick has replaced Pete Williams on Mark Coleman as the greatest head kick knockout in UFC history

Guys were just generally more active back then, 8 fights in a year was not uncommon. I really miss those days.

Honestly, the UFC should just get rid of half the roster and then have the remaining guys fight twice as often. I think it would be better for the sport.

He’s saying ufc events were much less common back then which is why fighters joining the ufc might have fought less

One of the slickest men to put on the gloves. Win or lose, always brings it and is fun to watch.
