Favorite or dog makes no difference

True, but the way the market actually functions is such that there is more often value on the favorites. From personal experience, this makes sense. Most mma betting fish I know exclusively bet dogs (and can't be persuaded out of doing things like betting Vitor Belfort vs. Gastelum at +300). I think the medium-smart money tends to do things like parlaying a mix of good and bad favorites... but, just like in poker, most of the money is made off the massive fish, in other words, playing the underrated favorites (which is why guys like Sham, who have no understanding of math, can still crush).
