Several times around here I have sung the praises of Cloud Atlas and talked about what an underrated film it is. Well, that's where my vote is going, putting my proverbial money where my mouth is.

i enjoyed watching it, but i can see why its not for everyone

Honorable mention to Amour, The Avengers, The Cabin in the Woods, Goltzius and the Pelican Company, The Hunt, and Moonrise Kingdom.

Lockout? Really?

I haven't seen it, but I've heard it's not good.

5 minutes in, I told myself "oh this is going to absolutely suck".

50 minutes in, I was laughing my ass of.

Just an hilarious sci-fi action-comedy. If you want to see a dry wise-ass whose mouth just won't stop firing jokes and innuendos, then it's the film for you. It's as if you put an character about as serious as Hudson Hawk in a normal action movie and watch him go to town.

But hey, maybe it's just my subjective sense of humor.
