you have to watch it a few times and of course actually see the movies it is making fun of. i hadn't seen the village or the grudge yet the first time i watched it and i thought it sucked. later iwatched both of those and farkin cracked up through the whole movie

I didn't see The Ring or Signs... but I knew they were spoofing them.
Then my wife and I (before we got married) rented both The Ring and Signs on the same day... REALLY scary scenes, but I was laughing my ass of because I was remembering what they did in Part 3.

PS: I LOVED the scene where the chick was speaking Japanese to the dead boy.
Had to watch it a couple of times (my wife is Jaanese and she thought it was hilarious)
