I'm not a MT specialist, just wanna know who's the bigger name/better fighter on the MT circle.

I dont always mention 'this is the UFC forum' but when i do, i prefer kickboxing threads.

Take this fucking shit to the Muay Thai and Kickboxing board.

You’re going to get a few serious answers, the rest will either guess according to which name they are most familiar with... or just mock you for posting this in the UFC discussion.

Yodsanklai is a 2 time Lumpini champion in 2 different divisions, while Buakaw's never got a Lumpini belt. That's enough to differentiate the most accomplished in MT.

However Buakaw is a bigger name and has accomplished more in Kickboxing (in particular K-1).

Under a Muay Thai ruleset, I'd say Yodsanklai wins. Under a Kickboxing ruleset, it is very debatable. Buakaw is the more decorated Kickboxer, but they are at very similar levels in skill (at least, in my opinion).

I'd say the fight would be close either way at this stage whatever the rule set. It's one of those fights I really wish will eventually happen before one retires for good.

Muaythai Yod> Buakaw
k-1 rules Yod> Buakaw
boxing Yod > Buakaw

Buakaw is more accomplished in kickboxing, Yodsanklai is more accomplished in muay thai. However, i think the fight could go either way in either ruleset.

Yod has the titles in Muay Thai but I always felt Buakaw was just a more talented fighter in general and would have definitely won a Lumpini title had he not left the sport early

Lol if you want to say Yod is better in Muay Thai because he had a longer career then that makes sense, but to assume he's better than a two time k1 champ in kickboxing, when he never really did shit in kickboxing himself. For what, just because his ball sweat tastes good?

Saenchai beats them both.
