Shinya beat a lot of cans most his career, and lost convincingly against top guys like melendez and Eddie, that was truly pathetic though he looks well shot.

He also beat Eddie. So let’s not go full shill here. Aoki was very much legit. You can play the “can” card for every fighter. It’s the perk or curse of being one of the best fighters. There are few on the level. It’s hard to stay incredibly active(as Aoki was) and fight only top guys. Every fighter only has a few signature wins and Aoki has those.

Yes, he is overmatched physically at WW. Even against blown up LW Mach at 170..he was physically overmatched. The result vs. a large WW and exceptionally strong Askren is not a shock...even if Aoki was still in his prime. Which I’d say he isn’t.
