The reporter, Jay Solomon, was offered a 10 percent stake in a fledgling company, Denx LLC, by Farhad Azima, an Iranian-born aviation magnate who has ferried weapons for the CIA. It was not clear whether Solomon ever received money or formally accepted a stake in the company.

Do you think this calls into question his previous work, like how many would say Anderson Silva's positive test calls into question his past wins?

Checked for an update on this matter and saw that his Wall Street Journal mini-bio makes it sound like he is still active for the publication:

"Jay Solomon writes about foreign affairs and national security from The Wall Street Journal's Washington DC bureau. His coverage areas include international diplomacy, nuclear weapons proliferation, counter-terrorism and Middle East and Asian affairs. Follow him on Twitter @WSJSolomon."

Pretty surprising, considering his last article for them was in June.

The story you linked to is from June, too. That he was fired was widely reported. Interesting that the WSJ hasn't updated his bio.

It's probably not interesting at all.

Just lazy and/or lack of communication to whoever maintains their site's employee bio section.

Agreed. It's not a huge scandal or anything, but big enough to be surprising they haven't distanced themselves more yet.
