Would you consider Jones defeating DC a great comeback story?

No, I wouldn't call it a great comeback. If he had had the courage to fight Cormier clean without having been caught with his cialis then, yes, I would have said it went some way toward redeeming his cowardice in the first fight.

Neither, he's already beaten him, and why is the better man winning unfair?
Nothing unfair about being the better fighter.

I'm asking about how fans will receive a Jones' win. Will he be given credit for overcoming adversity? Or will he be seen as a guy who doesn't deserve to be in the position that he is in due to his mistakes.

Been looking forward to the rematch for a while. Just hope both make it to the octagon this time. Jones will prove that when you fall you can always pick yourself back up.

No.

Steroid cheaters gonna hookers and blow.

Depends on his performance. DC has a good chance to win but I would rather see Jones make dc cry and then get better than ever.

All I know is the Jon Jones I seen at that press conference was a different Jon Jones he looked and acted like a thug especially with that hair. He seemed very angry about something besides what was happening. he did not act like a person who had learned from their mistakes and was content with everything moving forward. I could be way off but Jones was mentally all fucked up at that press conference. All the other fighters was trying to pull the McGregor card with their jungle talk but Jones was fucking angry.

I though he looked like Eddie Murphy as Buckwheat.

Also, Jones seemed like he was shook at that that press conference.

comeback stories only matter when the comeback is from something not self-inflicted

the pitt RB who was drafted by the steelers is a comeback story

I think Jones had his prime, but will still win and it won't be surprising. He already tooled a better version of Cormier for 4 rounds, so the rematch isn't that exciting.

The Gus rematch is all I really care about for Jones, if Gus gets his fire back.

Not really he's supposed to. In his prime old ass DC etc. If he beat stipe thats a story.

Depends on how he wins .
If DC just throws in the Towel then no .

No, because he already beat DC, and he's a super athlete that can kick 99.9% of the populations asses, so not really. It's not like he's a 37 year old athlete that had to go away for years, and now he's coming back. He's still in his athletic prime, so not even close to a great comeback story.

Maybe he had a mental breakdown and left the sport for like 3-4 years, then yeah.

Jones already beat him and is undefeated.

Comebacks are from losses

Or will it serve to you as a reminder that sometimes life just isn't fair?

No...he already beat DC.
And as far as comeback..thats usually reserved for people who didnt commit self inflicted wounds.
Jones, as great a fighter as he is...has fucked himself.

Yeah it would basically mean whoever wins this fight is yhe true top dog and 'the chosen one'.
Cormier would haave to fight glover if glover wins and then winner of bader and phil davis.

Jones only has to beat dc and if phil davis beats badr then jon jones vs phil davis will decide who is the GOAT since by then all other contenders would have been eliminated.

So if jones wins he has potentialy one more fight in davis

Dc has a potentially glover and a guaranteed winner of bader davis

Naw, he did this to himself. It's a comeback story, but far from a great one

Not really. DC is an easy fight. Jon could be 45 and still whoop him.
I wouldn't say that. Even the first fight wasn't easy for Jones.

Jones may very well win but I don't think it will be without any trouble especially given the long layoff.
