I don't mean in a hypothetical pound for pound way where they're both the same size, I mean as they are now, TJ Dillashaw is a 5 ft 6 in tall Bantamweight, Sage Northcutt is a 6 ft tall Lightweight.

Dillashaw is an elite world class fighter and Sage kinda sucks, but would Sage be big enough to close the skill disparity?

probably, but why this hypothetical matchup?

Huh. TJ doesn't utilize much in the way of ground fighting. He uses his wrestling liberally, but it tends to be more of a point-oriented technique. As a result, I think this fight stays standing. While Sage is utter garbage, he's as athletic as they come so I think he'd probably handle TJ's speed better than most LWs. Also, he's fucking huge and has a big head so I can't see TJ doing real damage. This is a head scratcher for me. Small, skilled guy vs. bigger, athletic non-skilled guy. Super fight?

Absolutely. Sage could catch him, but I wouldn't count on it. I think TJ would piece him up something bad, Sage doesn't have a physically imposing style and skill for skill no way he's close to Dillashaw in anything other than pure striking MAYBE.

I think he embarrasses the poor kid.

If sage chooses to wrestle then TJ has no chance.

TJ has a good chance in the standup though.

Are you trying to start another TAM vs TJ feud?

TJ probably murders him. Sage isn't UFC level skill-wise.

Frankie at LW is what a BW at LW looks like, TJ via murder
