Would Ngannou beat Jones at HW?

really though, jon would avoid his power and clinch. drag him down from the clinch and violate him.
If Blaydes who is bigger and stronger than Jones couldnt take him down I highly doubt Jones does. Ngannou murders Jones. There are weight classes for a reason

it's cute you think that Francis Ngannou is LHW manlet Daniel Cormier
no its cute that you don't realize that francis is a sloppy version of anthony johnson with a bit more power and a non existent ground game.

cant believe im even defending jon jones here, but its like people are forgetting how good he is. the dislike is clouding the judgement. jon jones is a douche, but he is an amazing fighter. he would beat francis ngannou easily.
Jon is a good LHW fighter its completely different at HW. All the advantages Jon had at Lhw he doesnt have at HW

Sloppy? sometimes he throws like a HW sure, but he's got very technical boxing too

Jones hasn't beaten Rumble either, only Cormier has, and if Ngannou had been in Rumble's place in this fight, he'd have won by first round TKO, no doubt. Jones could only beat Cormier by hugging for most of the later rounds.

He will get the take down.....via being knocked down and pounded into oblivion :D
this guy's td defense is nothing special so far. he has shown nothing that says he could beat jones except for size, strength and power. he would have to completely rely on his physical attributes and that is almost always not enough, espcially against a guy as gifted as jon.

Ngannou beats both prime Fedor and Nog at the same time.

Striking wise Jones wouldn't really be in a position to punish bad defence and he had trouble getting OSP down.

but Jones hasn't done anything whatsoever at HW.

They don't even let him spar with Arlovski (or Overeem) at Jackson's.

again, the size difference only goes so far when your opponent is that much more skilled. training isnt fighting either. and im not picking jones, but im leaning toward him at first thought.

jones shouldnt even attempt to strike with him. OSP is a talented wrestler who would have wrestled D1 if he didnt play football instead, plus he continued his grappling training after he played fooball. ngannou has been taken down by far inferior fighters to jones. but the x factor is the size and strength.

again, not picking jones, just leaning toward him at the first thought of the fight.

Like he beat OSP easily? lol, Jones only does good against men much shorter than him. A tall fighter who knows how to box properly gives him fits. Ngannou would kill him.

he'll get the takedown because jon is good enough to avoid his power and clinch. if he gets the clinch he's taking him down. if jon jones can take daniel cormier down he can take down francis ngannou. and francis doesnt have half the grappling skills cormier has, if jon gets him down he's staying there.

Jones took down D.C. And Gus but they both got right back up. Ngannou has freakish strength and is constantly improving I doubt he'd be able to keep him down for long if he did take him down. Jones also doesn't have KO power on the feet while Ngannou has vicious power

yeah but dc was an olympic wrestler. and gustaffson has been training more than twice as long as ngannou has. every time francis fights the commentators are like "And hes only been training for four years!" Like its something to brag about. Jon Jones would beat him, he would clinch him and take him down and Ngannou would have no chance.

D.C. Is a great wrestler, but let's face it. He looks like a midget standing next to Ngannou. There are weight classes for a reason and there's no way that Ngannou could ever make 205. Size plays an important factor especially when the guy is not just big but athletic as well. Being an Olympian is a great accomplishment but it doesn't automatically mean your a better grappler or u will automatically beat college wrestlers or even high school wrestlers. Jon jones proved this against DC since he never competed in the olympics only Junior College I believe.

Ngannou has massive potential. The reason the commentators keep mentioning he's only been training for 4 years is because hes already very good but obviously hasn't been training as long as other fighters which means he can get even better then he is right now. Which is scary.

Also I'm pretty sure remembering hearing Jones say he didn't want to move up to HW because some of the guys are too big and if he did it'd have to be against someone more around the 230 lb range. Fighting Ngannou would be fighting the biggest hardest hitting mo fo in the division
