This is a cool game that I found. It came out after Zelda 2 but before a Link to the Past
Thats your hero, his fairy that follows him, and that beside him is an ocarina, yes its actually called that in the game. Its also used to play songs, and to do so you have to enter button combinations corresponding to music notes. This is all before Zelda started doing these things. In the original zelda fairies were items you get that heal you. In zelda 2 you could turn into a fairy, but they never followed you like that. You could play a flute in the first two games, but not an ocarina. I should also note that I remember playing a game called willow on the nes that also had an ocarina item, which probably predated this game too.
I just started playing this game and its pretty good so far, but I remember Wonderboy 3 being funner.
