Women street fighters

I had a similar thought when I watched that years ago. Still see when I think of it.

I'm glad you enjoyed the visual of it.

Haha, it was fun to watch though. Like if Pride had a women's division. I liked her cold, Fedor-esque demeanor. Thanks for sharing.

Here is Mia St. John beating up a street fighter in both of their pro debuts in MMA, Rhonda Gallegos* (0-1 MMA and 0-1 Boxing as a Pro), who took a little time learning boxing and mma (several months from what I read elsewhere).

*I've been looking up info on her but not much other then someone who know of her reputation as a streetfighter prior to trying to go legit.

Here is another link with some info on early Women's MMA as it moved from a more NHB format to Unified Rules MMA. It references some of the videos already posted.

(Edit) That is Dr. Rosi Sexton starting that thread by the way. Former UFC fighter although she was on the end run of her career and a longtime flyweight. Kaitlin Young*, former fighter best known for her fight with Carano and current Invicta matchmaker and current MT practitioner, posts in that thread too. There are one or two other fighters in the thread but I can' recall their names.

Many, many, many, pioneers of women's mma where regulars to semi-regulars on that site. Miesha Tate also posted a fair amount and she has sort of, taken on a similar role as Debi Purcell had back then in promoting and managing female fighters, etc.

* A different topic but an interesting one. I recall reading this back when it was happening but the subject is a timeless one and interesting to see from the perspective of the future.

Started by Kaitlin Rose Young.

Jesus Christ some of these stories <{1-17}>

Glad I'm not some weirdo womanizer/wifebeater

In combat sports history, has there been any female fighters who were considered fighters, not athletes? Like a Tank Abbott type personality. Not a misogynist and not saying I don't respect or want female fighters either, I do. Just not aware of any and would be interested to know about her/they if there is.
